Artists: Share What You Know
These monthly events are a chance for artists to share their craft with the Cincinnati community. They take place at the Warsaw Avenue Firehouse. A full schedule of classes can be found here.
Music at the Price Hill Kroger
Laura Jekel and friends play live music at the Price Hill Kroger from 4:00-6:00pm on Wednesdays. It’s an opportunity to engage residents, meet new people, and spread the word about all the wonderful things happening in the neighborhood. Contact Laura at (513) 251-3800 x108 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Price Hill Adult Orchestra
The Price Hill Adult Orchestra is a free orchestra for adults who live in Price Hill. The program meets once a week and participants learn violin, viola, or cello.
Price Hill Arts Council
The Price Hill Arts Council was formed after a yearlong planning process in the neighborhood from 2014-2015. Through the plan, seven focus areas emerged, one of which was “Arts & Culture”. The implementation team for that focus area worked with Price Hill Will to lay the groundwork for an Arts Council, which had its first meeting in September 2015. In September 2016, the council voted to approve a guiding document and elect committee members.
MYCincinnati is a free, daily youth orchestra program in Price Hill. Founded on the idea that personal transformation can be achieved by striving towards musical excellence, students enrolled in MYCincinnati have the opportunity to learn violin, viola, cello, bass, flute, clarinet, and play in an orchestra. MYCincinnati is inspired by El Sistema, Venezuela’s national youth orchestra network that uses music as a vehicle for social change. Students in MYCincinnati are engaged in musical programming 10-15 hours every week. Rehearsals are held at the Warsaw Avenue Firehouse, an inclusive community arts center in East Price Hill.
