Community Engagement Session May 13th

Glenway Park was recently adopted by the Cincinnati Parks Foundation! The park, which can be accessed via Considine and Brevier near Glenway Avenue, is almost hidden behind an overgrowth of shrubs and not being utilized the way it should or could. A community engagement session to discuss ideas for the park will be held at the MYCincinnati Firehouse (3120 Warsaw Avenue) at 9am on Saturday, May 13th. Those who attend will have the opportunity to learn more about the project background and timeline, participate in a Q&A session, and provide input. Spread the word! Bring a neighbor!

Have questions? Get in touch with Lindsay Wilhelm, Director of Development for Cincinnati Parks Foundation at lindsay@CincinnatiParksFoundation.org.

MYCincinnati End-of-Year Concert May 18th

MYCincinnati students are preparing for their final concert of the program’s 12th season, which will be held at ARCO (3301 Price Avenue) at 6pm on Thursday, May 18th. All ensembles will be performing and there will be a potluck party after the performance, so bring your favorite dish!

And the fun doesn’t end there! Over the summer, students and teaching artists will spend two weeks collaborating to create brand-new performances to present at the Price Hill Music Festival on Saturday, June 24th! They will be sharing the stage with talented chamber musicians from all over Cincinnati. More details on that are to come. Until then, save the date!

Now Enrolling!

MYCincinnati is accepting new students for the 2023-24 school year! MYCincinnati is our completely free music education program for students in grades 3-12. Students will learn how to play an instrument, perform in an orchestra with their peers, and collaborate with professional teaching artists. At MYCincinnati, your child will make new friends and have a safe space to express themselves. Interested in enrolling? Instrument Donations Needed!

As our MYCincinnati Youth Orchestra continues to grow, so does the need for instruments! The Wind Ensemble plans to add at least 30 new woodwind and percussion students in the Fall and is seeking donations of the following instruments (* denotes highest need):

  • Clarinets*

  • Flutes

  • French Horns

  • Glockenspiels*

  • Percussion Practice Pads

  • Trumpets*

  • Trombones*

If you can, please consider taking your instrument to a repair shop to ensure it is in playing order before donating. Email Annie Darlin Gordon at annie@pricehillwill.org or call 954-815-9508 to schedule a donation drop-off.

Special shoutout to Antonio Violins who recently donated five flutes and five clarinets! We are already off to a great start! Also thank you to the D’Addario Foundation for their monetary and product support. We share their view that music education is the key that unlocks long-lasting and meaningful change for our community, our country, and our world.

Fund Free Wi-Fi at St. Lawrence Square!

Last year, Price Hill Will partnered with the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library and University of Cincinnati’s Department of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (also known as D.A.A.P.) to begin developing the first Nodes in the Cincinnati region at St. Lawrence Square.

Nodes are community hubs that extend digital public library resources beyond the Library’s walls, activating community spaces and bridging the digital divide. Our goal is to install and sustain free AltaFiber Wi-Fi access around St. Lawrence Square through a crowdfunding campaign supported by Price Hill neighbors and beyond. This Wi-Fi will be free for anyone in or near St. Lawrence Square! The support we receive will contribute to the $3,000 needed for installation and monthly services. Follow the link below to donate.

Help to kickstart accessible Internet!

Promoting Pedestrian Safety!

The Devou Good Foundation graciously donated pedestrian safety yard signs and sign holders for Price Hill residents! They will be available for pickup at our office at 3301 Price Avenue on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while supplies last. We will update our social media when all signs have been claimed, so be sure to follow us @PriceHillWill on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
