Cellist Shu-Li Cheah is a doctorate student at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A native of Malaysia, she was fortunate to be selected as a founding member of the nation’s first youth orchestra, the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. It significantly transformed her life, and she hopes to share that same gift of music and community with others through performing, recording, and teaching.

Outside the music scene, Shu-Li serves as an administrator at her local church. She also enjoys nature walks, reading, and the occasional indoor rock-climbing attempt.
